BUILD A PLAN WITH ROOM TO BREATHE
Your journey enters Canada. If you land at SEA first, allow for airport arrival procedures before starting the road transfer.
Review every traveler’s citizenship, status and travel mode. Check passports and any required visa or travel authorization early. Requirements for children need a separate check.
Canadian entry requirementsUse the official wait-time feed for your direction, then add road traffic and any planned stops. A posted queue time is a snapshot, not a promise for your arrival.
Check northbound border waitsBEFORE DEPARTURE
These are airport arrival targets, not times to leave the other city. Add driving and border time to your plan.
Add each passenger’s ticket, bags, seat fees and rides to and from stations or airports. Compare that total with a private-vehicle quote. Use one currency and check the exchange rate used by your card.
Carry documents, essential medication, a charged phone, a charger and your reservation details where you can reach them. Save pickup instructions offline. Check customs rules before packing food or restricted goods.
Use the border checklistShare a working contact number and the correct local date and time for each pickup. Confirm the hotel entrance, airport meeting point or cruise terminal. Recheck time-zone offsets when traveling around clock changes.
FROM ROAD TRIP TO SAILING DAY
Connect your Vancouver–Seattle or SEA Airport journey with a cruise terminal. Share your ship, sailing date, terminal, boarding deadline and luggage.
Plan my cruise transferReview the itinerary and fare with your quote.
VANCOUVER, BC
Traveling from Seattle or SEA Airport? Allow for the northbound border crossing. After a cruise, plan pickup for when you expect to leave the terminal. The ship’s docking time is not your pickup time.
Start with approximately 230 km for the city corridor or 250 km for the SEA Airport corridor, then add the exact terminal approach. Request a terminal-specific fare.
SEATTLE, WA
These are separate destinations. Confirm your terminal against the ship and sailing date before sending pickup details.
Use the city-corridor road estimate as a starting point. Add border time and the terminal approach. Your fare depends on the agreed itinerary.
Reach the embarkation city the day before when practical. Your cruise line’s boarding cutoff controls the schedule. No transfer can guarantee border clearance or hold the ship.
SEVEN WAYS TO MAKE THE TRIP
Compare comfort, budget, and timing for Seattle to Vancouver. Include luggage and station or airport connections in your total.
Checked . Prices are dated examples, not live quotes. Border processing, traffic, and stops add time.
Road times are planning estimates, not measured trip averages or arrival promises. Exact addresses and route choice change distance. A city-stop fare is not an airport transfer, and flight time excludes airport procedures and ground transfers.

No complete walking budget or route has been verified. |
Pre-book your vehicle and pickup. Every passenger needs the entry documents that apply to their trip. Vehicle and luggage fit must be confirmed.
Ask us for a black car quoteBook cross-border service explicitly. A local taxi or app ride is not automatically a confirmed international transfer. Our offer is a pre-arranged private car service.
Check the market exampleChoose the correct stop on your ticket, check the carrier's luggage rules, and carry the required border documents. Shared services follow their scheduled stops.
Check FlixBus dates and faresMatch the date to the seasonal timetable. Airport and cruise stops vary by departure. Allow for the coach's boarding, baggage, and border procedures.
Check Quick Shuttle's timetableBook Vancouver, BC (VAC) and Seattle King Street Station (SEA). Amtrak's SEA station code is not SEA Airport. Confirm the itinerary is a train, as connecting buses are also sold.
Price an Amtrak journeyCheck airline document rules as well as entry requirements. Air and land rules can differ. Separate tickets may require a new check-in and may not protect a missed connection.
Check airline faresConfirm pedestrian processing and legal access with the official port before travel. Use designated facilities and safe walking routes; do not follow a motorway driving route on foot.
Read the walking and border notesCheck the source behind the journey: current rail timetable, rail boarding advice, published rail mileage (archival), seasonal coach timetable, coach fare example, air-distance calculation, and flight schedule reference. Rail mileage is approximate; the archived timetable is not used for current departure times.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
A little preparation now. Fewer questions on travel day.
Provide the full street address and any hotel entrance or building access details. If your pickup is at SEA Airport, use the airport route page so flight and terminal details are included.
Check the official Canadian guidance for each passenger before travel. Entry requirements depend on the traveler. A transport reservation does not establish permission to enter Canada.
Add your Vancouver destination, contact details, and any required arrival time. Tell dispatch about child seats, mobility needs, and large luggage before a vehicle is confirmed.
LET’S CLEAR THAT UP
Start with your route, then check the details that matter to your trip.
Rather talk to someone? Call dispatchRequest pickup from your hotel by giving the full address and date. Confirm the entrance and meeting point with dispatch as part of the reservation.
Do not assume that it is. Pickup location, timing, waiting, and vehicle requirements can differ. Request written prices for each leg.
Border authorities decide entry. Before booking, check official requirements and ask dispatch for the policy and charges that apply if entry is refused or the trip must change.
For privacy, a pickup at your address, and fewer changes with luggage, our luxury black car is our top recommendation. That is a fit-based recommendation, not an independent ranking. A train may suit you better if you want to walk around; a bus may suit a tighter budget.
Yes. Metro Elite Transfer provides pre-arranged private black car and luxury transportation for this corridor. Request the vehicle class and features you need. Do not assume that a stretch limousine or a particular model is included unless your confirmation names it.
Bus, train, and flight tickets are usually priced per passenger. Ask us for a vehicle quote and confirm the allowed passengers and luggage. Compare the total for your whole party in the same currency, including extra charges and local transfers.
They are dated examples from other providers, not live offers or our prices. Availability, direction, departure, baggage, and booking conditions can change the amount. Open the provider's link for a current total.
Tell the operator before you book. Give child ages and seat needs, bag counts and dimensions, and any access or mobility requirements. Seat count does not prove luggage capacity or wheelchair accessibility.
Ask for planned stops in your quote and confirm any extra charge. Add them to the schedule. Bus and train stops follow the carrier's service, so do not assume they can be changed for your group.
Contact Metro Elite Transfer with your booking reference and updated trip details. Client cancellations less than 24 hours before pickup and no-shows are non-refundable. Deposits are non-refundable except for the cancellations described in Sections 16 and 18 of our terms. Earlier cancellation does not make a deposit refundable. Ask for written confirmation of any revised pickup, fare, or refund.
There is no one document rule for every traveler. Requirements depend on citizenship, status, age, and travel mode. Check CBP or CBSA guidance and your carrier's boarding rules before booking; do not assume that a driver's license alone is sufficient.
No. These requirements depend on citizenship, status, and mode of entry. Eligible U.S. Visa Waiver Program travelers need to check ESTA rules for land entry too. A Canadian eTA is not a substitute for a visa when one is required for your land crossing.
Do not plan on priority border access. Eligibility and lane use must be confirmed for the whole trip, and processing remains under border authority control. A private vehicle reservation does not guarantee a short queue.
There is no reliable fixed allowance for every date. Check the relevant official wait-time feed, then ask dispatch to review traffic, the crossing, and your deadline. Published waits can change and do not cover every part of your trip.
Seattle King Street Station uses the Amtrak code SEA, but it is not Seattle–Tacoma International Airport. A city-to-city rail trip needs a separate airport connection. Add transfer, check-in, and delay time before choosing a flight.
Request Canada Place in Vancouver or the exact Seattle terminal, including Pier 66 or Pier 91, as part of your corridor trip. Include the ship, sailing date, boarding deadline, and luggage. The pickup and fare must be confirmed for that terminal.
A late road or border delay can make a same-day plan fragile. Our planning recommendation is to arrive in the embarkation city the day before when practical. Your cruise line's boarding deadline takes priority over a generic travel estimate.
That is different from booking one through-transfer. Confirm pedestrian processing, safe access, luggage handling, and the onward ride before setting off. Do not assume an app vehicle will be available immediately on the other side.
Check the border planning guide for official entry requirements. Fare and schedule sources are linked in the travel comparison.
